Handcrafted unique gifts - Traditional handcrafted "Nam Phi" Thai sword with teakwood scabbard and handle. Order No. VNK0101. Overall length 79 cms. (31.5 inch). Blade length 44 cms. (17.5 inch) hardened steel grade S 60 C D 2. Handle and scabbard teak wood. Weight, including scabbard, 1080 gms. The inscription in the lower picture above reads Goong See Ayuthaya, Ayuthaya was the the old capital of Siam (modern day Thailand) from 1350 to 1767 and these Nam Phi swords are still hand-crafted in much the same way as they were during the Ayuthaya period.
